Nocturnal setup
This serves as an index for quick reference.
This is by no means the best way to provide safety light for night kayaking.
Just a very basic first attempt.
Will be working on modifying it so that it doubles up as a camping light.
It currently shares the same battery as my fish finder.

I now have something like this but use a small 10 amp light bulb and a small motorcycle battery.
the power stays on for 12 hours not that i should be at sea that long.
what amp is your bulb.?
what battery do you use .?
how long does it last .?
I am asking because your light seems so bright.
I would like mine brighter than it is. |

I use a 12V circuit with a 15W DC flurencent bulb.
2.3AH battery for 2-3 hours of dusk fishing.
12AH battery for 12-15 hours of camping light.
Think the bulb and ballast has a current of one ampere or so. |
