I just ordered an Advanced Frame. I have a Dragonfly, and love that I can pull it out of the bag and be on the water in less than 10 minutes. I wanted a boat that was a little more responsive, which is why I ordered the Advanced Frame and a backbone. Now I'm wondering, does it take any/much longer to get an AF set up and ready to go? Thanks. Pringles

I'm pretty much a beginner here but I recon I can get my AF off my motorbike and in the water in 15 mins.
If you look at the picture on my other thread (New owner from the UK) you will see that 3-5 mins are taken up just unstrapping it and dragging the pump out of the pannier.
Quicker if it was important but mostly it's not that desperate!!

Thanks. That sounds great. I wa just afraid that the backbone made things fiddly. Hope you are enjoying your kayak! If you are interested in finding paddlers in GB, google Song of the paddld forum. I think it's http://www.songofthepaddle.co.net but I might have that a little goofy. They really focus on canoes, but most people are located in GB, and they can probably recommend lots of places for you to paddle.

Thanks again, Pringles

Cheers ATP,

My AF does not use the BackBone and it seems to be good without it!
May take a little longer to insert the BB but not long, I'm sure.

Thanks again for the referance to the UK forum SOP looks good.
