Doing some research on Lake Superior the article stated a sea kayak would be best. I have a convertible with the DS floor if you add the zip on cover and skirts does that make it a "sea kayak"? Would it be suitable to use to paddle around pictured rocks. Obviously we would need to watch the weather. Thoughts?

Hi, Gus3836 -- As a kayaker who uses both sea kayaks and these tough AE inflatables, I'd say "Try it and use good judgement!" Like you say, watch the weather forecast and plan ahead.
If you've never paddled along that Lake Superior shore, consult those who have. Maybe a kayaking club or local kayak rental place can advise you. Do some google searches for paddling advice in that part of the lake, whether canoeing or kayaking. People who paddle there might share opinions like, "This area is terrific when wind is less than 25km/hr, but watch out for waves from an East wind."
The thing to do would be to join a local group on a day paddle. You'd get to know an area with experienced people, and whether you'd feel good paddling there alone or with a buddy.
