AF Scout replaces Advanced Frame??

Hi All,

West Marine have told me that the AF (AE1012-R) has been discontinued and the Scout (AE3033) is replacing it.

Can anyone confirm this? If it is true, what are the differences? The scout looks more like the AF sport.

Correct. West Marine will no longer be selling their version of the ADvanced Frame. Instead they will be selling their version of the Advanced Frame Sport. They can still special order the Advanced Frame in Advanced Elements colors and graphics.

They have the Scout's weight at 32 pounds, when the AE Sport is listed as 26.

For whatever reason, WM has it listed wrong. The Scout and the Sport are both 26 lbs.
