My suggestion is to contact www.airkayaks.com on this issue. They have tested both the Windpaddle and the Rapidup Sail and have also used all of the kayaks available from Advanced Elements so they would be your best source for the information you are needing.

I have recently bought the Bic Kayak Sail. It is cheap (at least in the UK) and works well - as well I suspect as most of these sails do.

On the photo gallery, there are a couple of shots of the RapidUp sail on my AirFusion. Works great! These photos are easy to find because they are coloured red from the sail. I also use the sail on my Expedition. Works great there, too. I suspect the Windpaddle sails and others would also work well. For best performance, make sure your sail is fairly tight up against your "D" rings (keeps the air in better and prevents flapping).

Can anyone comment on which is best for winds that do NOT come from directly behind. I see the Windpaddle claims to work with wind coming from 45 degrees. How do the other product compare?

When using the windpaddle u cant paddle (so u cant steer either). Its only usefull when there's 2 persons.

The others are only usefull when the wind is at ur back but can be tied down so u can still paddle.
