The last couple of times I used my convertible last season the bow leaned to the left a little, so the boat wasn't totally level. I'm assuming it has something to do with how the internal tubes connect to the external part of the boat with the Velcro, and I tried some minor adjustments but to no avail.

Suggestions please.

Thanks

Phil

Phil,

Before you inflate the kayak, make sure that the ribs are all the way in the tube cover and then pushed all the way to the front and back. You can also place some paper between the velcro so that when you go to inflate it, the velcro isn't restricting the placement of the tube. After it is inflated, then you can attach the velcro.

Hi,
I had that problem with my AF single. From the start. After a careful inspection I noticed that the built in aluminum ribs were not in the correct position. Found that the AF arrived with the ribs inserted in the blue (not sure if all models are blue) pockets that keep in place some vinyl supports that shape the bow of this kayak. I bought my kayak as a demo, so it was previously inflated. The blue pockets are flexble and did not break but ware deformed.
After easily fixing the problem (as j.cooley discribed), and inflating correctly, the AF has performed very well.
BTW the blue pockets are working fine retaining the shape of the bow. So for all you that will purchase one for the first time, check if EVERYTHING is in place before your first inflation trial.
