Here is a question to think about - You have an inflatable kayak, a touring paddle made of aluminum and a storm catches you in the water with no way of getting back to shore in time. Lightening is all around. What do you do? In particular what do you do with the "metal" paddle?

Good question. Pray to every god that exist?

What about: tie it up to a very long rope and let it drift away and get it back after the lightning has passed?
