I use the StraitEdge2 as a solo kayak.
It is beautifully stable and slow compared to my hardshell kayak, which is slim and steerable and fast. The StraitEdge2 is a good kayak for fishing.
I can stand in it, but I have small feet (size four and a half in men's shoes). On the other hand, I have little or no sense of balance because of my hearing loss...
The kind of standing I do is for a moment's fun or for changing my position or for stretching. I don't think this boat is really made for big adults standing for a long time while casting and reeling in line. My little 8-year-old friends could stand in it indefinitely. |
