Hi Richard, The wife and I both use a Stohlquist Wedge. http://www.stohlquist.com/dyn_prod.php?p=STO5215&k=29467 http://www.stohlquist.com/dimg/thm/t200_b795dffdad04f8bf29aaf7909c1eb948.jpg Pretty comfortable we found as it sits a little higher on your back. They also make a Lady's called the BetSEA...

Great pics. That is a neat camera mount on the one kayak.

Are you talking about the seams on the bottom?

If so, mine has the same thing. Have used the boats for a full year and not a drop of water. Would assume it is just part of the manufacturing process.

Just received my new expedition last week (have 2 AdvancedFrame already). The first set up I noticed a huge (and I mean huge) kink in the front tube. It was big enough that is actually stopped the front from filling. That being said, a couple quick adjustments and it was good enough for the day. Wil...

A fellow Calgarian, welcome!

Have not tried the Bow River yet with the AE. Let me know how you find it?

Would recommend www.airkayaks.com. Have purchased 4 boats over the last couple years and now a couple back bones. Has been the best price I have been able to find and the service was great. :D

Strange. ?? :?

I wouldn't worry about it too much. Probably just an automatic response as I doubt Jeremy would care about the word.

Just received my "backbones" last week and finally had a chance to take them for a run on the weekend. The second the wife launched I could see the difference. She sat at least 2 inches higher out of the water and before she was 20 feet away she commented on the improved speed and tracking. We paddl...

I think another review (could have been feldmarshal also) said you could use a piece of foam under the seat because of where it sits.

^^ Good point on the stability J. :D

After having used one for a year now, I think you would be hard pressed to get it to role. This was one of the reasons we went the route of the AdvancedFrame.

I have never tried to roll but from everything I have read I wouldn't try it in the AE. I don't believe the spray deck would sit tight enough to keep water out. The spray deck does however work good to keep rain out and the heat in. Have used it in water just above freezing and was very comfortable....

One thing I have found that makes it easier to get the boat into the bag is to place the bag over the kayak once its folded up and then flip it over. Rather than trying to stuff the kayak into the bag. I do the same thing and it works pretty good for me. The first couple times I packed it up was a ...
