As I remember it, the thermarest is not as thick as the yak floor so it may not give you or the yak proper support. Also, the yak floor is fitting for the yak and could fit in a tent but the thermarest is rectangular and may not fit well in the yak. It's an interesting idea. Let us know if you take ...

Pearly, Thanks for the video. It was amazing to watch the pole bend as you fought the beast and went for a ride as he dragged you around. The head-cam really gives a personal perspective to the video as if we were there too. I thought it was like a great video reality game. Keep up the great stories...

What brand/model camera are you using on the water?

Temps are definitely an issue here in Georgia. It looks like the GoPro HD no longer uses the AAA batteries. It seems to be lasting all day for some reviewers. I don't know what the temps are for them though. So is the wrist mount the way to go or the flat Surf mount? There are some reviews that don'...

Thanks for the tip on the gopro camera. It looks like a great solution for the water. Do you mount/place the camera on your kayak with the round mount or just carry it like a regular camera?

So I see all these wonderful pictures in the threads but hate the thought of getting my current cameras ruined from water. Are waterproof cameras the way to go or the waterproof bags?
