thanks @pseidman that kind of works for my kit, much better than i've had before and a connection i'd missed, so many thanks for pointing it out. i'm not sure the gauge i have is as you describe. the connection isnt robust. basically i'm fitting kpump to end of hose (for AE double action hand pump) ...

yes, the large pump is too big heavy for travelling beyond the car. so i got a kpump, which looks like it will do the trick BUT i can't get the adaptors to fit AE valves, the military 'type' valves are the main problem. shame AE didn't make these standard army size. anyone any ideas on attaching kpu...

hi, i'm looking for the best quality/compatibility rugged foot pump for advanced elements kayak. pumps seems to be one thing that AE don't do so well. I have the hand pump which works ok, (but after a couple of years the gauge has gone) , but it's heavy and big and i'm not sure about reliability on ...

I use the AE hand pump. I bought a Sevlar foot pump (trying to reduce weight/volume) but without correct fittings it's hopeless ... i couldn't find any way of determining these for cheaper pumps on the web.
