I have the tube outer cover with the bladder that came with an AE1012R. I think all I'd need would be the outer shell. Do you mean I'll have to cut a hole in the outer shell of the sport? if I look at the photo on the AE site here, http://www.advancedelements.com/advancedframe_sport.html and the onl...

Lagoon 1 tube cover

from what i have read, the dragonfly has evolved to the lagoon 1, with first a partial bladder cover, and now a full bladder cover. how does the lagoon 1 inflatable tube cover compare to that of the advanced frame? is it made of the same material as the AF kayaks? does it zip over the inner bladder,...

Mine has 3 tubes that have expanded together. I think I'm going to cut out a hard floor for it. I'll post results here.

AF-Sport shell question [was:Advanced Frame outer shell]

How about getting an AF-Sport shell for my spare tube? I'm considering it but can you retrofit a Sport shell on the AF-1012-R tube? Also, I'm worried about water from paddle splash coming into the kayak due to the larger cockpit. Do AF-Sport onwers end up soaking wet (still water/river/lake)? I've p...

DragonFly floor over inflated. What to do with it?

One of my DragonFlys has had it's floor overinflated (don't ask) so as it is, it's unsable. It's an old model from 2006, which has the floor attached to the main bladder. The main bladder is fine. I've had a few thoughts about what to do with it. I'm thinking about cutting out the floor (carefully) ...

I thought the new lagoon had deck lifts

Page 10 seems to show them.

I'm thinking of upgrading my Dragonfly. Do they make a difference on a Lagoon?

Rigid floor in the Strait Edge Canoe

I'm thinking about cutting out a rigid floor for the Strait Edge Canoe. Has anyone done this and can share experiences and photos?

that yellow pipe is just a water hose I used to wash the canoe. I have the standard double action hand pump. the early orange one. the kayak was stored in its bag and not used for 2 years (3 winters), and this is the first partial inflation after that

My Strait Edge Canoe has lost it's Straight Edge

After two winters in the garage the internal tubes of my Strait Edge Canoe have lost their shape and are now round, like a Kayak would be. http://farm7.staticflickr.com/6034/7006165743_2ef39b66a5_b.jpg I am hesitant to pump it up completely as I don't know what's going to happen. Will i tear somethi...

Hard floors

I have an Advanced Frame and have often wondered about a hard floor. I'm not sure I like the idea of the backbone, as I have read that is raises the seating position and one of the things that keeps me coming back for more and more in the Advanced Frame is how low on the water I am. I wonder if a ha...
