Just a reminder NOT to use WD40 on the snap button or the ferrule of your paddle. WD40 is good for other things, but not for making the button move again or the take-apart paddle come apart or together. Instead, a drop of silicone lubricant works fine and leaves a light coat on the surface. I tried...

These kayaks can last a long time! I've got an older version of the Lagoon that I bought in March 2006, and it's still good. It gets a lot of use, but there are only a few light scratches on the bottom of the hull. Oh, and some stains on the deck from where I leaned it against a rusting bicycle in ...

Secondly, does anyone have experience on using the Accessory Frame Mounting system? Looks like you have to cut holes into your kayak. Curious how ha...

Hey oguiang; The AE1012 is an amazing and durable inflatable kayak, so I expect that you will enjoy it immensely, as I do. A couple of important pointers; Don't leave it inflated in the sun, and be especially careful when inflating the floor tube, it's the more likely tube to be damaged by over-inf...

Hi everyone, I'm Orlando

Hello all. I recently purchased a used AE1012 kayak and am enjoying it a lot. I'm actually looking for a second one so that I can get my son to come a long with me. Overall it's been pretty easy learning the ropes. I've been learning a lot from this forum. Look forward to reading more pearls of wisd...
