The Convertible is a great Kayak to Geocache with ... solo or with a friend. And it works great on ocean, rivers and lakes

Alternate Seat Choice

I have the AE1007R Convertable XZE241GA707 and love it.
My question is with regards to the seat.
Will the AE1023 seat fit in the Kayak and connect properly? I would like the extra lift the seat bottom give for my wife. 8)

A Birthday Paddle on Grand Lake, Nova Scotia

Well this was my second paddle with the AE Convertable in tandem mode. And my wife joined me for her first time  We paddled 5.5 kilometres on a very calm lake, duck with 9 ducklings, Loons and how they found us ... black flies  rounded out this sunny birthday paddle for my sweetie. She ...

I also have a convertable, mostly paddled solo but today my wife came out with me for a 5.5 kilometre lake paddle and it was awesome. It takes a little work to stay synchronized with your wife :) but a fine day. I find is easy to handle on ocean and lakes solo, and love the ability to go tandem when...

We got out for a paddle today on Nine Mile River, Nova Scotia, Canada ... a little ice left but a beautiful day for the first paddle of the year. My son joined me tandem then we switched out to solo and he paddled some more ... I think he's hooked on the AF Convertable (does that mean he buys one or...

I have not tried mine for a diving Kayak ... yet, but I will give it a go this spring.

I expect a good 3 lbs anchor would work, a Dive flag for the Kayak, and a buddy to play with.

I got my convertable last fall, I have paddled on the ocean and in a windy lake. This is one stable kayak that cuts through rough water very smoothly. I am very happy with it! I also have the single and tandem deck, backbone and spray skirts. 8)

New for 2008?

I have seen new Kayaks and spray skirts listed on AirKayaks.com but not here. AE2021 Dragonfly XC, AE2023 Dragonfly2 XC & AE2026 Packlite Spray Skirt . Are these soon to be listed here as well? Do you have more new toys from Advanced Elements the curious would like to see posted here also? :w...

I plan to take my convertable on the Shubenacadie River in the spring to play in the tidal bore. The river is only 1 Km from hone and tides from the Bay of Fundy rise up to 16.8 metres. In the Shubenacadie River this incoming tide creates a wave, varying from a small ripple to 10 ft+ in height. This...

Great pictures, your Expedition and Dragonfly look right at home with the rest of the Kayaks.

Now that is one relaxed looking paddler!

Hearn Island, Nova Scotia, Canada 8 Oct 07

For my 1st ocean paddle, we went from Prospect, Nova Scotia to Roost Island. A stop at Hearn Island gave a great chance to try a landing on both a rocky & sandy beach. The rocky beach landing was much easier for me than for my friend in his hardshell Kayak. I thoroughly enjoyed the comfort and handl...
