Where

Are these references and videos? Anything official from AE or on youtube? I would be interested in a rudder to my convertible.

Go with the tandem

I bought the tandem and it paddles just fine solo. My wife doesn't want her own kayak so the tandem works for us the few times a year she joins me. I primarily fish and the tandem gives me plenty of space for all the gear I haul around.

Paddles

Welcome to the forum and AE. I also have a convertible and our paddles are Aqua-Bound Sting Ray Four-Piece, 240cm, bought at REI during one of their annual membership 20% off sales. They were $90 and well worth it, the four piece makes them easy to stow when traveling in our trailer.

Welcome and great choice in boats, we also have the blue DS convertible for fun on the water. We're in Oregon so seasonal temps regulate our trips during the year. Hope to see many pics and trip stories from you.

I'm a little southwest of Portland in McMinnville. That's an interesting work you're doing.

Not new to kayaks, been paddling tupperware for 14 years but decided an inflatable style would be easier to transport and store, so bought a DS Convertible last winter and been trying the new boat out. I kayak the lakes & rivers in Oregon, with the main purpose of fishing. So, the DS needed some out...
