Hi again wayne49; :) Here is a link for info and directions to the lake. It is right beside Stave Lake with the Hydro dam separating them. Stave allows power boats, Hayward doesn't.

Hi MissMelodie I am also from Abbotsford haven't tried Hayward lake yet ,but will give it a go this year . Good morning wayne49 :) If you like serene lakes with no motorboats allowed (only electric motors), then you will like Hayward. A lovely little lake that is looked after by BC Hydro since it i...

Thanks for posting this :D I just purchased the screw on valve adapter with gauge (ordered it but haven't actually received it yet) and was wondering if the valve should be in the inflate position when using it. Question answered Thanks :)

Totally understand where you are coming from NaturalPath...but when you have another person inflating the AF's (as in my friend in the past 2 1/2 years) and they are no longer with you (we broke up in Dec 2013) I error on the side of caution. This is why I bought the gauge and know that he did under...

Re: lumbar seat

"poloace" Very pleased, execpt the seat. I have back issues, and after a couple hrs my butt gets a little square, and back gets a little sore. How is the lumbar seat? I have the Advanced Frame and I too suffer from back problems from time to time. I find that the chair that comes with the AF does n...

Yes, I too agree that it is better to slightly under inflate, erroring on the side of caution. My friend has owned the expedition, 2 AF's and the straightedge angler and on his angler, he ended up over inflating and the seam pulled apart on the footrest cushion. A question for both of you, I just bo...

Hi NaturalPath and PJohanson; A pleasure to meet you. Yes I was very lucky to be able to use the AF for as long as I did before buying and also to compare against the hard shells. I live in Abbotsford, BC and am very fortunate to be close to a number of lakes, Stave, Hayward, Alouette, Chilliwack ju...

My sister and her hubby go to yard sales a LOT. They found the Intex Doublequick II for me for 3 dollars a month ago (smaller one). Perfect for size for putting in with my safety gear bag on the kayak. Then not an hour ago, they found an Intex doubleaction III highoutput (that inflates and deflates)...

JimD, Well, I am considering the AF Sport at 26 pounds due to its light weight. I could easily load and tie it to my roof without needing to add a rack (I don't even have rails right now to put racks on) the light weight would also make it more reasonable for me to carry them to the basement (in th...

Hi from MissMelodie

Hi All; I am new to this site (first post) I am also from BC and have used a friends Advanced Frame for 2 1/2 years. This Feb finally broke down and bought my own :D I love it! My favorite place to kayak is Hayward Lake as it only allows electric, canoe or kayaks on it. Love the peacefulness of it a...
