Room for feet?

Can anyone comment on the drop stitch floor and whether or not that leaves room for your feet if you are 6 feet tall?

10.5 - Considering BB to Dropstitch

I haven't had my (original) AE Advanced Frame out in years since I've moved to a bigger city. I'm thinking about getting back into it. Back in the day I purchased the backbone (before the dropstitch floor was available). It did make a nice improvement. For the shorter kayak, has anyone moved from th...

Using zipper while inflated?

I see a few people referring to an advantage of the zipper being easier entry / exit. I thought I'd read at one time that you can NOT use the zipper while the frame is inflated, for risk of ripping the zipper assembly off the kayak? Or was that maybe for another brand? I'd thought about opening it a...

How dry is dry?

Being the "OCD" type of guy I am, I've always left my kayak taken apart to dry out for a day or two before storing away. I realize that a few days of a soaked kayak in a bag can be disasterous. What about those small amounts of water that are hard to get out of the very front and back (behind the bl...

Thanks for the reply. I was actually thinking about a manual pump. I've always been used to having water in the bottom of this thing. I just assumed that 3 hours of paddling splashed it inside or seeped through the zipper...until I realized that my friend's identical model kept them bone-dry! I fill...

Bildge Pump / Drain Plug mod?

Has anyone ever purchased a bildge pump for the advanced frame, or would they be too difficult to use with the water going under the floorboard? Also, has anyone ever attempted to make a drain-plug for these? It would be VERY nice to be able to drain the water...I find it nearly impossible to drain ...

Lumbar seat?

Anybody try this in an advanced frame 10.5? -Does just the back pump up, or does the butt also pump/raise higher than the stock seat? -Does the back support raise any HIGHER up the back than the stock seat? -Would this be necessary to help your tailbone if you order the backbone? I'm using the stock...

Good for 180lb?

Hi, I was reading that the backbone helps a LOT for the long models, but for the 10.5' would it make a big difference for someone weighing 180lbs?
