Re: Are there standard air fittings or adapters?

The adapter on your pump is strictly for Inflatable SUPS and Dropstitched products. It will not work with the valves on an AE kayak. Only the dropstitched floor. It is for Hawlkey Roberts style valves. You'd have to creative to create some sort of way to fit that onto something that could then fit i...

Re: Are there standard air fittings or adapters?

Most pumps come with a standard 3/4" adaptor that will press fit into the main valves on an AE kayak and will fit over the smaller twist valves. If you send a picture of the end of the hose of the pump you have, as well as the adaptors, we could better determine what would work with the kayak or if ...

Re: Pressure gauge accuracy

Could have possible been banged around and is now off or stuck. Tap it and see if the needle moves back to 0.
If not, you will more than likely need to replace the gauge.

Re: Packing up the Angler Pro

Be sure to put your pump into deflate mode and pump out any remaining air from the kayak. This will help with the folding process. Follow the folding instructions in the manual. Once folded, you can put pressure on it to push out any trapped air. Keep kayak on its side on ground and slide bag over k...

Re: Is the non-DS Expedition still being made?

AE1009-XE Expedition Elite with Dropstitched floor was introduced in 2017. AE1009-B Expedition Blue was introduced in 2015 as the AE1009-LTD. It was made permanent in 2016 as AE1009-B. This has the standard floor. AE1009-Y Expedition in Yellow ran 2007-2015 and has the standard floor. Whomever you a...

Re: Backbone interchangeability

The BackBones are specific to each model and are not interchangeable. You would need to get the BackBone for the Expedition if you wished to have it for that model.

Re: Slight list in the hull

There could be a few different causes. Check the position of the floor and make sure it is centered and not pushing up one side compared to the other. Also, check to make sure the floor is in the correct way(believe me, many put it in upside down or backwards). The inflation tube on the floor should...

Re: AE Stowable Kayak Dolly - AE3010

Thank you for your post in regards to item AE3010 Kayak Dolly. The issue had been addressed as we found the factory increased the size of the wheel hub which made it difficult for the pin to fit through the hole. Most of the carts that had this issue had the wheels swapped out with wheels that have ...

Interesting. Not quite sure how you are folding it, but it shouldn't be folded on the Skid plate. Refer to instructions in manual for proper folding technique. https://www.advancedelements.com/client_files/pdf/AE1041_Y%20Manual%203_2017_SM.pdf To straighten it, leave exposed to sunlight to soften th...

Only differences are the following:
Seat backs are slightly taller
Floor has pressure relief valve
Hardware such as D-Rings and some buckles have been changed
Graphics may be different

That's about it. No major changes have been made since 2006. Only minor cosmetic changes.

6'2" Size 13 feet and can fit fine with the DS floor.
With DS, less prone to dragging by a couple of inches.
Kayak does sit slightly higher in water because DS floor is more buoyant than the stock floor.
Using the two together stretches the cover and can cause permanent damage.

Also, adding the Drop Stitch floor takes away from the purpose of this boat. A lightweight AdvancedFrame that can be taken anywhere and performs as the AdvancedFrame series does. Adding the DS floor adds 6 lbs to the 17.5 and almost puts you at the weight of the SPORT. To each their own though.
