Intex Pumps

Since I have two intex pumps now I thought I would post something on them. I bought the double quick III at Walmart for $10 when I first got my Firefly. It is large and only takes about 5 minutes to fill the kayak. For some reason the end likes to try to unscrew sometimes and you need to tighten it,...

Re: Comparing my Firefly to a Sevylor Quickpak 1

So I got to paddle the quickpak and it paddles quite nicely. It doesn't waggle quite as much as the Firefly and of course my feet weren't jammed, though leg room isn't really that much more maybe just an inch or two if you use the foot rest thingy. However, the backpack as a seat was uncomfortable f...

Comparing my Firefly to a Sevylor Quickpak 1

So when I was originally comparision shopping the Firefly and the Sevylor Quickpak 1 were the two kayaks I had narrowed my choice to. I ultimately got the Firefly because it has better valves, and the outer cover. Well now I just got a used quickpak off ebay because fedex lost the Dragonfly I ordere...

Texas Lakes and Ponds

Some Texas Lakes and Ponds I have paddled and fished in my Firefly. It's not the easiest to fish from, but you can do it if you're determined. https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2020/10/full-113185-70379-northpark2.jpg https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2020/10/full-1...

Re: Dragonfly Xc for $250- did I get ripped off?

Unfortunately Fedex "lost" the kayak. They said they delivered it but I was home all day and they never came to my lane. They promised to have the driver call me and they never did. Paypal and Ebay refused to honor their purchase protections and I reported Fedex to the BBB. Anyways, since I never go...

Dragonfly Xc for $250- did I get ripped off?

So I've been wanting to get another kayak so my kids can paddle my firefly. Yesterday I found a Dragonfly Xc for $250 on ebay right before I was off work, so I snagged it. With tax and shipping though it came out to $308, so not so cheap. Then I found out that model was made in 2008 so it's 12 years...

Re: My Experiences with the Firefly Inflatable

I've had the Firefly for about a year now and it still works great. I am going to have my boys try it next month when it cools down a bit here in Texas. Other than being too small in the bow for my feet it's a great little boat.

Re: My Experiences with the Firefly Inflatable

I forgot to mention that the bag is pretty big, and with the pump, seat and paddles in it too you're looking at close to 25 pounds to carry so it's not for long trips. Unless you're tall, the bag will drag on the ground unless you carry it with the shoulder strap. I did take it a mile to a pond, but...

My Experiences with the Firefly Inflatable

So I bought a demo model of the Firefly kayak about four months ago, and just got my account activated so I can give a review of it. First of all I should say that I am very pleased with Advanced Elements and this purchase. Though I purchased a display model, the kayak came as a completely new item ...

New Firefly Owner

Hi, I'm Carl and I recently bought a Firefly inflatable. I have used it about ten times now and will be doing a write up of what I think of it, which is definitely mostly positive. I'm in Texas but I am hoping to move back to Washington state in the next few years and try it out there.
