New (Spring 2016) AE Rudder for Advanced Frame Models

I've come across some references and video on this long desired accessory. One doubt remains: Will the new rudder be compatible with the AE Convertible while having the single or double decks on? If so, would they also be usable while using a skirt?
Thanks

Re: Upwind Sailing the Convertible

Hola Carlos: Tengo un Convertible tambien y me interesa la idea de la vela. Me gustaria probar primero o verlo mas cerca antes de decidir. Tengo una hermana en N.Miami que a veces visito. Te podria contactar para ver el tuyo? Un abrazo, Roberto Here is a new video of upwind sailing with the Kayaksai...

I am not sure I can tell very much. I was out on the Alameda channel and it was quite choppy with waves coming from many directions so I was constantly struggling to stay stable. At one moment a bigger wave caused me to go off balance and the kayak flipped onto its side quote="lee johnson"]Robby - T...

Hi Tee: I also have a AFand have been wondering about the Skegs ability to reduce its rolling.. After falling due to a wake in the Alameda channel andhaving to swim to shore have become less comfortable going out with the boat and even considered selling it. If it really helps with making it more st...

Re: Seat adjustments

Good report. Can you send in some pictures to show what it looks like? I don't know about the rest of you backbone users but I can feel mine and it's not comfortable. I'm not sure if there's a connection but my back bothered me too. I know some of that is from a whole new kind of movement that kayak...

What happened to the AirFusion tracking aid?

Last year there was several mentions in this forum of a tracking aid and I think it was even mentioned during a call I made to the company. Were well into a new year and still no news....What that hole in the stern plastic piece for???

Nothing in the front zip cpt or front deck? How heavy are you? Look forward to hearing how you manage and how stable it is. I have an AF and find it tippy with nothing but my 226 lb body. Curious to see if adding "ballast" makes it more stable... -----------------------------------------------------...

Re: 2009 Advanced Frame for sale in SF Bay Area

Please disregard. Kayak and Backbone have been sold. I have an orange Advanced Frame purchased last fall and used less than half a dozen times for a total of less than 20 hours in the water, sun. It is in excellent shape and needs a new home where it will be appreciated. I also have a Back Bone for ...

There is a misunderstanding here. In Europe they sell a tandem expedition which is like the convertible with the two person deck sown on (cannot be changed to a single) and it has other variations form the convertible For 2 people and a dog I would think you'd want the AF convertible since it's a ta...

AE does sell a fitting for the spring valve but it only works with AE pumps

I hear folks talking about the duck tape option - for a new machine of this caliber, you would think there would be a better way - does AE sell a fitting specifically designed for the spring value?
