Duct Tape does a great job, but residue afterwards is a problem.
Still looking for solution and I will post them as soon as I have them ready.

Short review on the Air Fusion

Just a few comments on the FUS. Today I took out my FUS out for the first time this year. Winter is over! ;-) I must say I was rusty in setting up the kayak, but eventually was happy with the results. Inflating remains the easiest part using the double action pump with pressure gauge. Wonderful day ...

Mh... I am still a bit confused on how it works. So what you are saying, is that the skeg normally is fully down and you need to pull the line to bring it up and hold/tie off to keep it up. What keeps it down when kayaking? Won't the water resistance push the skeg upward or is there too much frictio...

How does the skeg pivot?
Is it spring loaded up, and so pulled down into the water?
Can I easily move it up and down just by the single cord? Is tension on the cord required to keep the rudder in place?

Thanks

I had the same problem.
Re-adjusting your sitting posture helped to get rid of that.
Most of the time it's because of too much pressure against the foot brace or airbag.
Try to increase the distance between brace and seat

Yes I see, FUS has zippers more upfront though. And I pretty much think of waves crashing on top of the deck! There is more tension on the zippers with the FUS. The lips open up slightly, and the zippers are exposed. Not an issue on any calm waters or light waves, but I haven't tested pooring water ...

Great story!

I think the FUS has a good deck for this as it isn't as flat. Mainly the top pole #6 is taking care of that.

Anybody did this heroic move with a FUS?

Airfusion zipper waterproof enhancement

I am trying to come up with an addition to the zipper water protection. Some kind of rubber flap over the zipper lips with a clamp.

Anybody tried something of the kind?

Airfusion seaworthy?

I know seaworthiness is mostly about the experience and training of the kayaker him/ herself.

But I just want to know if anyone out there did try the AF at sea and how it handled.

Thanks
