Re: Stand-UP Paddle Board

My floor has the same problem. I am planning to buy an Inflatable Stand-UP Paddle Board and use it instead. It's cheaper than the $250 Floor and can have other uses. Anybody else done the same? Not quite sure how an inflatable SUP is cheaper than a dropstitch floor. They typically start at $450 and...

Type B adheres 50% immediately and continues to adhere over 24 hrs. It is specifically meant for the materials that our kayaks are made out of. Type A is not meant for the materials our kayaks are made of and will not stick as well. We have tested these and would not recommend them if we knew they d...

Tear Aid Type B is what works best with the PVC as well as the polyester for temporary fixes.

JCooley, The AE repair kit patches (which seems universally recommended for a long term repairs) looks to me as NOT stretchable. Can you please clarify: It is my understanding that Type B is stretchable. Is this a concern when repairing the inflatable tubes ( AE1009) ? Type B is in reference to Tea...

Your kayak should already have one on each side by the seat area. We slide the blade of the paddle under the bungee and attache the shaft with the velcro strap. If you wish to add more, sewing would be the best or use Aquaseal glue to glue one on.

There is nothing wrong there. You have to remember, that 1. that is the underside and 2. that area will fill out when the kayak is sitting in the water and you are sitting in it.
It will not affect the performance in any way.

Like others have mentioned, there isn't a huge amount of difference in paddles that are under $50. They generally have aluminum shafts and plastic blades and are fairly heavy. Once you get above the $80 price point you'll start finding paddles that use lighter weight composite materials like fiberg...

My apologies. I said TearAid glue. I meant Aquaseal glue. TearAid is a temporary patch. Aquaseal will work best. It is a glue made by McNett.

The tube inside seems pretty stretched, probably due to the heat you mentioned. For the outer cover, you can glue it. I would suggest using TearAid glue. I am unsure if you are able to find it in Norway but I would think that you could. It will take a little time but you should be able to get it all...

Again, you don't really need the 303 aerospace. Not enough PVC is exposed to the sunlight. The only time you may need the 303 aerospace is if you are paddling the StraightEdge Kayaks. Those are all PVC and no Fabric. Most of the PVC in the Expedition is covered by the Fabric of the kayak and the und...

Joe,

You shouldn't need to spray the floor or the bottom of the kayak. The PVC material does not get affected as much by the UV. You can if you'd like as it won't cause any issues.
It is more for the fabric, so it does not fade.

To make sure we have this correct.
Your pump is the AE5006 Xcelerator Pump?
They way you have phrased what you have and how things work, does not make any sense.
