From what I see in the picture, what happens when you do that, is it makes the outer shell more baggy because you are pulling the tubes inward. The tubes are meant to fill out the outer cover. The deck has nothing to do with making the kayak more rigid. It is just to cover the area. If you are exper...

the 2005 Convertible had a coil zipper around the decks and cockpit opening. It changed in 2006 to the teeth style zipper. We no longer have decks with the coil zipper as that was 12 years ago.

The Convertible would definitely have more room. It is 15 ft. long. It comes in the open format but you can get the optional zip on decks. It has a set of buckles towards the center so that you can paddle it solo and have your weight distributed evenly throughout the kayak. There would be enough roo...

I'm pretty close to you there with the height. The Expedition is my favorite of the single kayaks. Although it can be a slightly tight fit, I usually just push my body up by placing my hands on the sides of the boat. This allows me to get my body in position. If you would like, you can head to your ...

If the seat is sliding forward, then the paddler is not in the proper paddle position. The paddler should be engaging their core by sitting upright and pushing their bum into the bottom of the seat. If the seat is sliding forward, that means that the paddler is leaning back onto the top of the seat.

If the AE-DS1012 Drop Stitch Floor did not work for you, try the AE2023-AF1 Backbone for increased hull speed.

The space in the pocket is minimal because the inflation bladder is filling up the space when inflated. If by chance a little water does get inside, all you need to do is unzip the floor pocket and wipe out the inside with a towel. The bladder can also be removed at any point, dried off and placed b...

You can use the glue in the repair kit or you can purchase Aquaseal.
If has come a little undone, it is not a big deal. It is glued on the outside of the cover so no water will get inside if that is what you are worried about.

There is a possibility it isn't twisted on all the way.
Also, make sure that your valve is in the inflate (closed) position.
You can add a little chapstick to the rubber gasket on the adaptor and that may also help.

Martin, Thank you for reaching out with your question. At this point, a DropStitched floor is not in the works for the other StraitEdge models. The AE1006-Y, AE1006-ANG and AE1014-Y all have pockets welded to the bottom of the kayak which hold their inflatable bladders inside. If you were to attempt...

Made and assembled in Indonesia. We work closely with our factory to insure high quality and attention to detail. Each kayak is closely inspected and air tested over 72 hrs. All is done in a very clean and safe environment. Even when we ship them to our warehouse, we inspect some to make sure things...

In 2016 we moved operation to Indonesia. The majority of Kayaks are made there while we still have many of our Accessories made in China.
