The front thwart on the Fusion is fully adjustable, so you would have no problem positioning it to your liking.

Have not really seen any posts on this but what I can tell you is that placing a "backbone" type keel beam on the outside of the hull kind of defeats some of the purpose of the BackBone. The BackBone installs inside of the kayak so that when you sit on it, it not only provides rigidity, but it also ...

Actually, what was discovered was that the drop-stitch floor and the backbone serve the same purpose in a lot of ways. This is why we do not recommend using the two combined. Since we get comments on the Backbone vs. Drop-stitch floor topic quite a bit, I'm going to add the following information as ...

I am assuming that you are referring to the aluminum rib-frames in the bow and stern? There has been no change to the rib-frame design in the AdvancedFrame line. The aluminum rib-frames have always been a part of the AdvancedFrame's design. It cannot be retrofitted to other models, the rib-frames ar...

Welcome to the forum. My wife and I have the Convertible and use AE2015's with it. My wife is the same height as yours and I'm 5'11" and the paddles work great for us. 230cm is the recommended size by AE which is why all of their paddles are at least 230. If you want a little more length, you could ...

The adjustable footbrace kit would be a great choice, it works great. The inflatable foot brace is only for the front paddler and only if they are short. So it might be useful for your kids when you are out with them. Either skirt is good, but the touring skirt has suspenders and a "small items" mes...

Best way to test it, without submerging, would be to pull the tube out of the kayak and inflate it. Then try and listen for the leak. If the tube is deflating that fast, you should be able to hear an audible hissing. I would check the ends of the tube specifically because that is where the main weld...

The best way to do it is to inflate your kayak to the proper pressure (2.0 psi) or a little more at 2.5 psi and then let your kayak acclimate to the water. Once it has acclimated to the water temperature, add more pressure. I know that it takes more time to do it this way, but its better than riskin...

The only thing that I know of for adding a cup holder would be to add the Accessory Frame System from AE to your kayak. With the frame system installed, you could then add a Scotty 1" rail mount which will hold any of their accessories like their cup holder, rod holder, ect.
