On the Mercer Slough, Bellevue, WA

My wife and I had our third outing in the new AE Convertible with mixed results. After getting lots of mud aboard from our last trip on the Yakima River, I must have twisted a tube when cleaning it out. On inflation there was a massive kink in the starboard rear which just wouldn't work out completely without holding up our friends with their rigid kayaks, so we just inflated hard and paddled out with the boat a little bent. Big mistake.... It was turning right the whole trip, and this just isn't a fun way to go, especially trying to keep up with our friends while constantly stroking hard to keep correcting the right turn.

Next time, any kink will get carefully worked out no matter how long it takes!

The Slough was so choked with algae and millfoil it was hard to paddle through in spots. The skeg must have been pulling a ton of the stuff at times.
Lots of ducks and turtles, a bald eagle, and even two otters were seen, so it was worth the effort.

I don't know how to attach pics to this post. Took lots, will check around this site for instructions, so maybe in a future post I will be able to share them.
