where to go?

hi all,

i live in the not very sunny uk and next year i would like to take my advanced frame abroad somewhere.

i have not traveled much in my life so unsure where would be a good place to go and wish to ask any ideas where to go?

i would like go somewhere fairly cheap with islands to explore during the day (maybe take a sleeping bag and sleep on an island one night)

any thought be most grateful.

One place to consider for overseas travel is Canada. You'll speak at least one of the languages and there are plenty of places to paddle an AE kayak as you travel in Canada!
