D.C. - paddlers, we are planning a visit to your nation 's capital. Is paddling possible at Potomac-river ? Is renting or hiring a kayak possible, for instance near Arlington Bridge ? Greetz. Adrie Jonkers.

I live about 20 miles south of DC. You might want to contact the following company. They rent kayaks in the area. I also know there is a good put in at the end of the Reagan National Airport landing strip. I'll try to get the name of the park for you. Its a nice launch and its free. There may be another rental place closer because I have seen kayak tour groups on the river. If I find anything out I'll let you know, but for now here is one contact.

Thank you, dspid2404, for your answer. Sounds good to launch your kayak from an airstrip. I"ll try to contact ATLANTIC. Probably I can find the kayaklaunchingplace with a little help of Google Earth. Greetz. Adrie Jonkers.
