RapidUp Kayak Sail

Post by Jerry » Fri Apr 09, 2010 3:00 pm

I have just seen the RapidUp Kayak Sail advertised in an email.
Would this be suitable for my Dragonfly?

Doesn't seem like it to me.

Where are the "top side d-rings" I should clip the stabilization lanyards to? I don't seem to have any on my dragonfly.

No pics in manual or on web.

It's an XC. I remember 'model end closeout' so I guess it was the last year they were made.

edit: serial no. ends in 08 so that might be it.

In the manual, the wording is a little confusing. for Step 4 "Clip the Stabilization Lanyards to the top side d-rings", what that means is clip them to the top d-rings on the sail. Then for step 5 you will tie the Stabilization Lanyards to the d-ring that is located at the front of the cockpit opening.

Hope that clarifies it a little.

Yeah thanks. I read the general instructions and they made more sense than the dragonfly-specific ones. I ended up doing just that and running the collapse line through there as well and it looked good in the garage.
