Dragonfly2 unavailable?

Post by wozzlev » Sat May 31, 2008 2:26 pm

After doing quite a bit of research I eventually purchased a Convertible and am extremely pleased with it.

As my family enjoys it so much and the build quality was excellent, I decided to expand our fleet with a Dragonfly2. However I have just been informed by the manager of my local Decathlon store, that all Dragonfly2's have been withdrawn from sale in the UK (where I live) due to a problem with the manufacturing. If this is legit, then any idea when the situation will be rectified?

I‘ve managed to get some more details from Decathlon. Apparently a batch (not sure of the size) of DragonFly1’s and Dragonfly2’s had faulty valves. There was a recall notice, but they'll be back in stock around the 6th June. So all is good in the UK :)

I recently purchased a DF2 XC from Decathlon. I can't see any mention of this on their website. Would someone from AE like to comment on this recall?

There has not been a recall but rather Decathalon has decided to stop selling the DragonFly kayaks until a 100% inspection of their production run has been completed. Then they plan to continue sales. This model is designed for max pressure of 1.5 psi however over-inflation of any inflatable may cause damage. This has only involved the DragonFly at Decathalon and not the AdvancedFrame kayaks. We stand behind our warranty and have replacement parts available to those who may need them.
