sail for AE convertible
Has anyone found or developed a sail that you can place on the AE convertible or expidition. thaks.
We are currently in the process of designing a sail that will work with all of the models. The design is almost complete and we are trying our best to get it into production for next year. Currently there are alternatives such as the "Paddle Sail", "Spirit Sails" and "Pacific Action". Most people are coming up with theie own ideas and rigging sails for now. Look in the Misc. section of this forum and I believe there are some postings about sails.

Has there been any progress on a sail for the Convertible? We almost always have a pretty good wind that blows toward shore in the afternoon. I have considered the Paddle Sail (I think that is the correct name), but I haven't been too impressed with the videos I have seen with it in use. The kayaks in the videos I have seen seem to barely crawl with it. I have thought of trying to make my own, but would like to see what the pros design first.

Mast step
I have a few ideas for a homemade sail, but while we wait for AE to work out a design for a sail for the AE Convertible, I was wondering if anyone has a good suggestion on how to step a mast into/onto the AE Convertible.
I used to be a windsurfer for over 20 years. I used to go 30 to 40 mph on tiny windsurfing boards. Loads of fun. That sail looks like a great idea. Too bad you will only be able to use it going down wind. At the lake I was at recently the wind was against me all the way there and then changed directions so it was against me all the way back. It would have been nice to use that sail if the wind had cooperated because it was a total of 15 mi that I had to kayak against the wind. Just about died that day.

Maybe a little late but I found this great video for a sail on an AFC2
