Expedition paddle length

I am looking for a new paddle for my spare expedition. I would like it to be an all purpose paddle for my spare boat, suitable for the for varying sizes of my guests. I don't want my friends to have to suffer with the cheap aluminum shaft paddle that I received with this used boat.

I use a 230cm Werner Kalliste bent shaft paddle myself - bought it used for a fraction of the price! I am about to order a new paddle online for under $200 (looking at an Aqua Bound Manta Ray) but I'm unsure if I should get a 230 or 240cm due to the 32" wide beam of the kayak.

I am 5'6" and guests vary from this height to 6'. Advice?? Recommended paddles?

Best is 230cm-240cm. Anywhere in that range will work. The majority of Advanced Elements paddles are about 230cm.

My wife and I have and AE Convertible. I use a 240 Werner Skagit carbon fiber shaft w/ plastic blade and I just bought her a 230 Werner Camano w/carbon fiber shaft & Fiberglass blade for $275. She is 5ft 6 in and had a problem with catching her fingernails on the deck when she paddled. I took it back to REI and got a 240 size in the same model. Now she has no trouble with catching her fingernails. I am 6 ft and the 230 was way to short for me. I have not tried her paddle but it sure is lighter.
