Mounting Expedition to a 32' Bayliner

Post by mguelker53 » Tue Apr 21, 2015 12:35 am

I just purchased 2 AE kayaks. I would like some advice about mounting them to the railing on my boat. I don't want to carry them on the bow as they would take up too much room and block my view. I was thinking of mounting them on either side of my railing along the cockpit roof hanging on the outside of the railing. Any ideas for inexpensive DIY mounts?

For mounts I'd try the big bicycle hooks sold at hardware stores.
Remember to spray the outer hull of the kayaks with a sun protectant spray. This not only protects against sun fading (I don't mind a little colour fading in the sun) but also keeps the hull lasting longer.
