SE2 - How to repair outer hull tarp damage after overheating

Dear all,

the recent heat wave in Norway and my not taking air out when landing has led to overpressurized tubes - and caused damage. The outer hull went apart were it seems to have been glued together. The inner hull (white translucent foil) is undamaged. Is there any advice about how to repair this damage - and what materials should be used?
Intuitively I would glue the foil togeter, then tape it with repair patches on the outside (possibly with strong ones that stretch over a larger part of the side tube).

Any suggestions?

You should email Advanced Elements directly before trying any repairs.
Since this split is along a seam, it might be fairly easy to repair.

The tube inside seems pretty stretched, probably due to the heat you mentioned.
For the outer cover, you can glue it. I would suggest using TearAid glue.
I am unsure if you are able to find it in Norway but I would think that you could.

It will take a little time but you should be able to get it all glued back together.

Thank you very much for your comment! Did you think of the repair patches (Type A/B)? They are available from Swedish shops. I presume the hull would need type A patches. Or did you refere to a real glue? If so, could you post the full name or a link to it so I can search for it?

My apologies. I said TearAid glue. I meant Aquaseal glue. TearAid is a temporary patch. Aquaseal will work best. It is a glue made by McNett.
