I was wondering if anyone had ever tried using the kayak's floor as a sleeping pad - to save on packing space?

My husband and I plan to go camping in about a week and a half - wondering about minimizing packing.... I tried putting the kayak floor on the ground - why not use it as a mattress???

I haven't used it by itself but I have crawled inside the kayak and fallen asleep. Its a bit heavier than a regular matress but if you have to carry it anyway I say go for it.
