In need of repair / service

Post by STLPilot » Tue Sep 03, 2013 9:37 am

Found this while cleaning my AE AF Expedition this morning. I have pressure valve and always make sure to keep at or under pressure. Then of course there is sunlight.

But regardless, what's the recommended suggestion or procedure for repair, as I use this boat a lot.

Oops, looks like you got a bit of a tear there. Doesn't look like anything that a bit of sewing wouldn't fix. I'd probably get a small piece of canvas, or heavy nylon type material, pull that torn area together as much as possible, and sew a patch over it, using very strong thread, and multiple passes. A sewing machine would probably do a faster and better job, but some patient hand stitching would most likely do the trick also.
