Testing the repaired tube

I am trying to repair a pinhole along the seam in the main tube (i.e. tube for chamber 1 and chamber 2). I want to test if the repair lasts (i.e. stays inflated for 72 hours).

For troubleshooting purposes at home ( i.e. in my garage), can I inflate the tube Chambers to the standard pressure (i.e. Chamber1 < 1 psi and Chamber2=2psi) WITHOUT putting tube inside the zipped cover (i.e. the gray zipped cover for the tube).

I.e. can I just inflate the tube itself to the specified pressure? I am not sure if the zipped cover serves as just a protecting cover or prevents the tube from an over expanding.

Yes, you can inflate the bare tube to the recommended pressure.
