Vinyl Repair Kit?

Post by KayakJack » Mon Dec 13, 2010 9:08 pm

The tube of rubber cement that came with my kayaks has dried out over the years.

They sell Plastic/Rubber/Vinyl repair kits that contain a small tube of rubber cement, metal rasp (to roughen area), and some patches.

Do you think it's safe to use on these kayaks? I would like to replace the dried tube with a working tube for peace of mind.

Thanks.

On our replacement parts section we have AquaSeal by McNett available. You can also purchase it from sporting stores or marine stores. Another glue you can get is Vynabond. Any glue needs to be vinyl based.

Great! I'll return what I bought and purchase what you recommended!

If you need material also, we also have a repair kit listed on the replacement parts section. Material and glue together.
