Gap on side of DS floor?

Post by Peds109 » Fri Jul 27, 2018 5:41 pm

This is my second season using my Expedition with the dropstitch floor. I feel like the DS floor used to sit under the main chambers (bladders?) all the way around the boat. Towards the end of the year, it seemed like there was a slight gap at the widest point of the boat. When I say gap, the DS is obviously a set size and it used to push the chambers up as it inflated. Now it pushes the chamber up a bit at the bow and steen, but there’s a noticeable gap between the sides of the inflated floor and the inflated main chambers in the cockpit.

Has anyone else experienced this? Could the skin have become misaligned somewhere? Could the skin have stretched and no longer keeps the chambers pushing inward as strongly? Or is this normal?

Appreciate any input!

Joe
