Sticky and Leaky Spring Valves

I have two older AF kayaks;
- One kayak has a sticky spring valve that is difficult to get to the closed position. Is there a lubricant that can be used to help the valve?
- The other has a leaking spring valve that will deflate the main tube unless the cap is on tight. Any suggestions short of valve replacement? Can the valve be replaced using only normal DIY methods and Aquaseal adhesive?

Valves are welded to the tube from 2006 until present. They cannot be replaced without replacing the tube.
Both cases sound odd. Send video of valves to info@advancedelements.com.
The cap is not what prevents air from coming out of the valve, it is only to keep debris from getting inside the valve. If your valve is leaking air, then it is either broken or you have it in the deflate position.
