Air Fusion vs. Folbot Kiawah

Post by kaph » Thu Nov 01, 2012 8:24 pm

I am thinking to buy Air Fusion or Folbot Kiawah.

Kiawah:
Length/Beam 13’3â€￾/24â€￾
Weight 32 lbs.
Assembly time 15 min
It is quite similar to Air Fusion.

If I should buy air fusion, probably I will wait for Air Fusion Elite (year 2013 version).
I also want to sail with Kayaksailor sailing rigs.

I was thinking to buy Air Fusion. But, after reading some negative review at Bazillions (http://www.buzzillions.com/reviews/adva ... ak-reviews), I can’t decide whether to buy Air Fusion.

I want good speed, good performance, and easy to assemble and disassemble.
It will be mainly used in Lake, and coastal ocean (day trip).

I was wondering if anyone could help to decide which one I should buy ?

Thank you in advance for your helps.

With all due respect, you're comparing a kayak which costs twice as much to the AE AirFusion. If money is not a problem for you then I'd say get the best kayak you can afford. It's true that more expensive is not always better but, in this case, twice as much is probably going to be better, and Folbot is a well known manufacturer of folding kayaks. In my opinion, AE manufactures quality affordable inflatable kayaks, and does it very well.
