hello all i just got the West Marine Scout Advanced Frame which is the same as the Advanced Elements Advanced Frame Sport...it even says advanced elements on the bottom......i am a kayak noob other than the 5 or so timeson vacation......but since i bought some land within walking distance to a decent sized lake i HAD to get a kayak......

i have yet to try it as its not above 50 here yet and i am not sure if i will get wet.....

Happy kayaking!
Paddling in cool weather works great for me. I wear merino wool so if I get splashed or soaked I don't feel cold. Paddling in cold weather close to freezing is good too -- I wear a shortie wetsuit with a merino shirt and maybe a paddle jacket. See what works for you to feel good kayking.
For some trips I bring a drybag with a spare shirt & shorts/light trousers in case I'd rather wear dry clothes home on the bus.
