Can a 4 section BB from a Convertible be used in a AE Frame 1012 using just 3 sections?

That would be a nice feature for those of us, who owned multiple AdvancedFrame kayaks. I would like to know the answer for this, too.

I know this was from awhile ago, but no, it cannot. The pieces are different sizes and 3 pieces from the AE2023-AFC Backbone will not equal the required length for the AE1012 kayak.

This is something AE is looking into. The reason it hasn't been done in the past is there hasn't been a demand. But it makes sense so we will see where this goes.
