Folding up an AF Convertible with the Foot Pegs installed?

Post by forkush » Sat Feb 25, 2017 4:52 pm

A couple days ago I loosely folded up my AF Convertible with the foot pegs still installed in the rear tandem paddler position, and I just inspected it to see if it caused any issues. The pegs, tubes, and DS floor all appear to be unscathed. I offset the pedals so they would not crunch against each other.

Does anyone think I will regret doing this in the long run? I'm not planning on storing it this way over the winter, but just for a few days at a time.

While the pegs don't take that long to install, my attitude is that every bit of time and energy I spend setting up my yak takes away from my experience on the water. It's one of the reasons I discontinued using a backbone and splurged on a DS floor.

As long as you are doing this for temporary purposes and not long term storage, you should be fine.
