Seat Adjust

Post by dickgeo » Sat May 02, 2009 6:37 am

I have a very difficult time adjusting my seat with the attached straps. They are very stiff, particularly when wet, and I cannot pull them through the snaps.

Any suggestions? Thanks

I found it easier to adjust the straps on shore. The straps are pretty stiff, but this will also keep them from just skidding through their buckles when you lean back. The straps become a little more flexible if they're worked back and forth through the buckles a few times.
If you have very little, soft hands and are not used to backpack buckles this could be part of the problem. I am a pretty small person (but a knitter with nimble hands), and I was wrestling with the straps the first time. But my partner has big, muscular hands. Once he pulled the straps through the buckles to maximum looseness and back to maximum tightness, the straps were a little easier for me to adjust.
