Post by Snook » Sat Mar 12, 2011 9:40 am

Hello every one, Do you have some experience with this kind of seat?
Is it an option for an AE 1012 kayak?

Definately not recommended. Not only does it not have straps but if you were to tip, there is a possibility of getting caught in the frame of the chair. Not a good idea. Best to use a kayak seat for kayaks, not beach chairs. Beach chairs are for the beach.

Not to mention you don't want to raise your center of gravity that high. It makes you more unstable. Even an inch makes a big difference.

It's also not a good choice because it's slightly reclined. When paddling, it's better to be tilted slightly forward at the hips.
