Recovering from folded storage

Post by gentlydownthestream » Thu Jan 10, 2019 7:55 pm

My AirFusion Elite has a small piece on the hull (stern) that doesn't recover well from folding. Is there a better way to fold the kayak or a way to straighten this skeg-like piece (sorry I don't know the name of it).

Interesting. Not quite sure how you are folding it, but it shouldn't be folded on the Skid plate.
Refer to instructions in manual for proper folding technique.

To straighten it, leave exposed to sunlight to soften the material or soften it with a hair dryer so that you can mold it back to shape. Because it does not stick out too far, it will not affect the performance of the kayak.
