Got too exciting getting a DS, unfortunately big disappointment - can't really fit anymore into my yak 5'11"/10.5 without unxipping the top. Laso floor seems a little bit harsh - too hard to sit on. After several tries decided to return it and go back to the stock floor - much more comfy, despite realizing that I am losing some speed due to lesser stiffness of it.

Hopefully most kayakers have more positive experience with it.

If the AE-DS1012 Drop Stitch Floor did not work for you, try the AE2023-AF1 Backbone for increased hull speed.

I've tried a backbone a few years ago with the mixed results - it performs as it intended on lakes, but when I take my yak on creeks/rivers, backbone actually makes my boat stuck more frequently than usual. Typically I get more stuck on shallower portions more often than my hard shell partners, but with backbone it makes the problem worse. So, it works great on the lakes, not so much on a rivers which may not be as deep in the summer months.

Noticed the same problem too with my BB in shallow rivers. But I paddle more often on large lakes so it's not much of a problem for me. I might decide to buy a HS much later.
