Kayaking in the Sawtooths

Went kayaking at Stanley lake in Idaho in June. The water was very cold but I never felt cold in the kayak. It was a nice day though around 80. I'm not sure how the hard shell kayaks do in this regard but the way the flooring is designed in the Advanced Frame it seems to insulate you from the cold. ...

Thanks, I'll give it a try. It might be useful if Advanced Elements included one of these patch's as well in the repair kit.

Best way to repair hole in Black bow section

Thanks,

That's a good question about replacing the shell. I just purchased the Expedition. I thought about the same thing. The shell is really the only thing that may sustain damage. Also I kayaked with one of the self-bailing kayaks which was nice. Perhaps an option for a self-bailing shell would be possib...

Advancedframe Expedition - Fun but a couple of issues

I like the kayak. Had it out yesterday. A couple of things that bothered me. 1) The knuckle guard needs to extend further to the back. I'm 6' 2" and I found that I was hitting the main boat canvas and I have a nice red mark on my right elbow. If the soft guard went further back I would not have had ...
