I see people mentioning periodically the problem with the water getting in through zipper. AE forum moderators provide useful explanation and workarounds ( really appreciated !). I am not sure if I miss something and there a deep reasons for why this cannot be addressed by AE by change in the design...

I have added padding to my Expedition Elite AE1009 using this: 1. I've used the foam from thick yoga mat. You know , one of the thick spongy yoga mats. JCooley,

The AE repair kit patches (which seems universally recommended for a long term repairs) looks to me as NOT stretchable.

Can you please clarify: It is my understanding that Type B is stretchable. Is this a concern when repairing the inflatable tubes ( AE1009) ?
