Re: My Seam Hole Patching Saga
>Actually, seam splits are nearly impossible to effectively repair. Agreed, if you try to use the repair kit glue, but Stormsure works brilliantly for seam repairs*; 100% success rate so far! Cover your seam split with a big "slug" of glue. Don't use a patch. Lay your repair flat overnight (to stop ...

Re: UPDATE
Great! I managed with 34" leg + size 11 kayaking boots with foot brace with no issues & found the paddling position fine. Seems to be a useful upgrade to this kayak if you prefer a harder floor. Note the usual caveat, that a more rigid base will make the outer cover a bit more vulnerable to abrasion...

Worked perfectly - much improved on choppy water.
I wouldn't use a backbone as there is a different bladder set up (just a left & right tube), rather than normal AF set tube setup.

1) On the first inflation the kayak inner tube (bladder) has bunched up within the grey bladder cover & needs adjusting forwards. 2) You usually only need to do this once & it takes just a few minutes…………… 3) Note where the bulge is. 4) Let most of the air out of the kayak. 5) Unzip the gr...

Salas, Check your poles are fully inserted in to the receiving pole sections and also check the lenght of pole 2. It should be 1.20m. I've got one Elite with pole 2 at 1.22m. As a result it's very, very diffiult to asseble & it gives the same exagerated shape that you have. See this: http://www.adva...
